What? The Leaders and Battles database contains basic information on leaders and battles from 1500 bc to 1945 -- from the battle of Megiddo in 1479 to the battles of World War II. The purpose of this site is to provide the visitor with an interesting and easy-to-use navigation method for exploring the interconnections among battles, leaders and wars. Note: this site does not attempt to provide lengthy, detailed battle descriptions and biographies; there are numerous other sites and sources that provide this information. Our uniqueness is the presentation of the important connections between military leaders with their respective battles across the centuries of time. Who? This site will always be a work in progress. Currently there are 526 battles and 257 leaders listed across 64 wars. More information is being added weekly.
